Trial #2 - Race #5
Painted Turnpike lead from start to finish, completing the race with 1 1/2-lengths to spare for the fastest qualifying time. Psychedelic Scott was 3 1/2-lengths clear in 2nd for the 2nd qualifying spot, while DTL Head Honcho overcame a hard bumped start to finish 3rd and the final qualifying position.

Trial #3 - Race #6
Wagonette was the 1 3/4-length wire-to-wire winner, scoring the 4th qualifying spot. Sturgis took 2nd and the 7th qualifying place, Paleface Cartel finished 3rd after a bumped start for the 8th qualifying position, and Texas Snowman was the 9th qualifier after finishing 4th in this trial.
