Paragon Farms LLC. Flying Cowboy 123 won his Futurity trial in his second start.
Flashing Candy (First Moonflash-Candy Cartel), Coach A Comin (Apollitical Jess- Fantastic Follies), Longgone Perry (Mr Jess Perry-The Long Straw), Sure Fire Quick (Walk Thru Fire-One Quick Jess), Suze Returns (High Rate Of Return-Brown Eye Suze), One Famous Stone (One Famous Eagle-Strength In Numbers) and My Mystery Lover (Apollitical Jess-Love Samba) completed the order of finish.
Eagle, named MM He Does It Easy, in this year’s Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale.
The McCloys own about nine mares and they keep approximately six horses in training. The Rainbow Futurity is their biggest win.
They also raced Datona Doll, who won the 2016 New Mexico Classic Derby-G2 and placed in that year’s Zia Derby-G2 and Heritage Place Derby-G2.
Their other mares include Delightfully Tres, the dam of Especially Tres, a graded
stakes winner who finished fourth in the 2013 All American Futurity-G1.
Lethal Lil (Corona Carel-Lethal Delight) finished second under jockey Jose Alvarez
for owner La Feliz Montana Ranch LLC and trainer Joel Valeriano Jr. The filly had won two of four previous starts, including her trial to this race and to to the West Texas Futurity where she was a finalist.
Wood also trains third-place Flying Cowboy 123 (Apollitical Jess-Hot Cash 123). Raul Ramirez Jr. rode the colt for owner
