Jess Good Candy (Good Reason SA-Jess Send Candy, Mr Jess Perry) has been named the second recipient of the StallioneSearch Rising Star Sire Award after an outstanding Freshman Sire season that was capped off with Dulce Sin Tacha receiving the 2020 Champion 2-Year-Old Colt title. His first crop of 2 year olds consisted of 20 winners,
7 blacktype, 1 Champion, earnings of $1,273,623, and average earnings per starter of over $19,900. His first crop Champion Dulce Sin Tacha SI 98 ($518,403) won the 2020 Texas Classic Futurity-G1. Jess Good Candy was bred by PV Quarter Horses and is standing the 2021 season at Lazy E Ranch.
AQHA DEBUTS QDATA
The 37-year-old Robin Glenn Pedigree (RGP) database has been rebranded and named QData, a department of the American Quarter Horse Association. AQHA purchased RGP in 2014
and have since produced new services such as combining money paying events and AQHA points and awards, stallion marketing service QStallions, and sale catalog production. QData has become the leading resource for the American Quarter Horse pedigree and performance data, offering detailed money earning activity for all performance horse groups.

has had a lifelong love for horses and has been involved in many different equine organizations such as 4-H, Barrel Buddies,
Little Buckaroos, Weber State College Rodeo Team and the National Reining
Horse Association. Peercy has a bachelors in marketing from Weber State University with a focus on public relations.
JEFF BLEA NAMED CHRB EQUINE
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
The California Horse Racing Board recently appointed Dr. Jeff Blea as equine medical director in preparation for the retirement of Dr. Rick Arthur in July of 2021. Under a contract between the CHRB and the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California-Davis, the equine medical director also serves as a member of the faculty. A
joint panel of UC Davis and CHRB were involved in the selection process of Dr. Blea. For the last 28 years, Dr. Blea has been a

RG CHOSEN JEWEL SETS NWR
Four-year-old black filly RG Chosen Jewel (Dog Daze Afternoon-Gators Girl, Jody
O Toole) became the first Mexican-bred horse to set a New World Record, covering 110-yards in :6.744 while winning the Francisco Pasquel Classic at the Hipodromo de las Americas. She was bred by Juan Pablo McLaurin Castillon, is owned by Gabriela Cardenas Atlixqueno, trained by Victor Hugo Arias Oropeza and was ridden by
H. Camacho. RG Chosen Jewel broke the previous record of :6.770 set by Carneros at Ajax Downs in 2019.

The Jefferson County Commissioners Court gave approval to move ahead with the sale agreement of Ford Park, located west of Beaumont,
Texas, with The Renaissance Group to build
