                    Hip #114 Fast Copy King was the high seller on day 1, consigned by MJ Farms Ruidoso New Mexico Bred Yearling Sale high seller, Hip #158 Ocean Bridge, and purchased by Heavy Hitters Racing for $125,000. consigned by MJ Farms and purchased by Paragon Farms for $260,000.

Racing LLC. By Eye Am King, the gelding is out of Anakena, a full sister to multiple graded stakes winner Woodys Allstar, by Woodbridge.
Hip 228, King Seis, sold to Tungsten Racing Partnership. The colt is by leading second-crop sire Eye Am King and is produced from the stakes-winning Tres Seis mare C Twister Seis.
Additional consignors with horses in the Top 10 prices included Double LL Farms, agent, which sold Hip 141, LMG Jet Black 333 to Jerry Deville for $125,000, and Mike Logan, agent, who sold Hip 240, Stormin Cartel, to Micielo Parras for $100,000.
MJ Farms got things rolling on the sale’s opening night, consigning the session topper for
the Friday session as well. MJ Farms led with Hip 114, Fast Copy King, who sold to Heavy Hitters Racing for $125,000. The Eye Am King gelding is produced from the Heza Fast Man mare Fast Copy Miss and is a sibling to four black type horses, including graded stakes winner Woodys Copy Cat.
The first night of the sale saw 40 of
43 Quarter Horses sold for gross sales of $930,400, a seven percent increase over the $872,300 gross on 45 horses sold in the corresponding session a year ago. The first night’s average price of $23,260 reflected a 20 percent increase compared to last year’s average of $19,384. The median price of $15,250 escalated 27 percent from $12,000 a year ago.
For the entire sale, MJ Farms, agent, sold 33 head for total sales of $2,094,000 to outpace
all consignors. Double LL Farms, agent, sold 26 head for $586,500, and Mike Logan, agent, found new homes for 19 yearlings that sold
for $449,400. Rounding out the Top Five consignors were Lance Powers, agent, who sold 12 for $200,700, and Brian Anderson, agent for Copper Spring Ranch NM, LLC, sold seven horses for $193,500.
Paragon Farms led all buyers, spending $260,000 for the sale topper. Equifine acquired five head for $227,000, and Tungsten Racing Partnership signed for a pair of yearlings to the tune of $215,000.
