Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown Race Coming Up
Trials for the third and final leg of the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown Series are right around the corner. The Championship Futurity will be the series’ longest race at 400 yards. Will Rogers Downs Racetrack will host the trials on Oct. 22 and finals on Nov. 14. Visit the Speedhorse website for more information.
2023 Texas Hero Futurity Payment Due
With $50,000 added plus $15,000 to accredited Texas-bred Paint Horses, don’t miss the best Paints and Appaloosas as they battle it out during the Texas Hero Futurity, formerly known as the Lone Star Futurity. Trials are on Nov. 3, leading to the finals on Nov. 24 at Lone Star Park. The first $200 nomination payment was due Aug. 15.
$35K Added to Inaugural Karen Utecht
Memorial Race
An outstanding $35,000 will be added to the Karen Utecht Memorial Race held Oct. 14 at Lone Star Park. Nominations for this race close Sept. 23. Questions? Contact Lex Smurthwaite with the Texas Paint.
