Go Man Go did not sire any foals in 1959, but came back in 1960 to sire four stakes horses, including Hustling Man
Diamond Mae produced two more stakes winners by Go Man Go in addition to Hustling Man . . .
1962 All American Futurity winner Hustling Man is out of 1954 Co-Champion 2-Year-Old Filly/Cajun-bred Running Mare Diamond Mae. The success of Hustling Man on the track may have allowed J. B. Ferguson to sell Go Man Go, but the colt died before he was able to establish himself as a sire.
Hustling Man was bred by J. B. Ferguson out of his race mare, 1954 Co-Champion 2-Year-Old Filly Diamond Mae. It must be noted that Diamond Mae was a Cajun-Bred Running Mare who was bred by O. Manuel
of Eunice, Louisiana. She is by Hy Diamond and out of May West Ferguson by Marco Way TB. May West Ferguson is out of Dalley by Forester. The dam of Dalley is a mare by the great Cajun-Bred Running Legend Old DJ. This gives Hustling Man a pedigree dominated by Cajun-Bred Running Horses. It can also be noted here that Hustling Man’s success on the track may have allowed J. B. Ferguson to sell Go Man Go, but sadly this colt died before he could establish himself as a sire.
Diamond Mae is the dam of three additional stakes horses sired by Go Man Go. They are 1970 Texas Derby winner
Miss Maydeck, 1969 Heritage Trail Derby winner Hustling Miss and O Mae Go, who placed in the Texas Futurity. Miss Maydeck is the dam of three stakes horses, including Mr Maydeck, who won the 1977 Lubbock Downs Spring Futurity, 1978 Lubbock Downs Spring Derby and 1978 Texas Derby.
The 1961 foal crop of Go Man Go gave him nine stakes horses, including four stakes winners. Goetta leads the list, giving Go Man Go his second All American Futurity winner in 1963. She claimed the titles of 1964 World Champion, 1963 Champion 2-Year-Old Filly, 1964 Champion Mare & Champion 3-Year- Old Filly and 1965 Champion Aged Mare. Goetta won 11 stakes races, including the Los Alamitos Futurity, Go Man Go Handicap and Ruidoso Championship Stakes. Goetta is the dam of two stakes winners, Goetta Miss and Beat A Native.
Goetta is out of Etta Leo by Leo, and is the second Go Man Go stakes horse out of
a Leo mare. Go Man Go sired nine stakes horses out of Leo mares, including five stakes winners: 1969 Josie’s Bar Handicap winner Quincy A Go Go; 1971 Raton Derby winner Me Gotta Go; 1974 La Mesa Park Kansas Maturity winner Go Leetta Go; and 1976 Vandy’s Flash Handicap winner I Can Go.
Go Galla Go is the second stakes winner from Go Man Go’s 1961 crop. The filly won three stakes, including the Oklahoma QH Exhibitor’s Association Derby and the South Texas Derby. Go Galla Go is the dam of stakes winner Go Galla’s Man, Rocket Wrangler, and stakes placed runner Go Galla’s Lady, among others.
Rocket Wrangler, by Rocket Bar TB, won the 1970 All American Futurity, 1970 Rainbow Futurity and 1972 New Mexico State Fair Handicap. The colt was named the 1970 Champion 2-Year-Old Colt.
Rocket Wrangler is a million-dollar
sire with earnings of over $9.4 million.
His runners include 1984 Turf Paradise Budweiser Derby winner War Star Wrangler, 1984 Kansas Futurity winner Double
Dutch Bus, 1978 Los Alamitos Invitational Championship winner Rambling Sallye, and 2-time World Champion Dash For Cash, who is a million-dollar sire of over $39.9 million.
Go Man Go sired 13 stakes horses from his 1962 foal crop with six stakes winners, including 1965 Palouse Empire Derby winner Baby Go (out of Paula Babe by Paul A); 1965 Independence Futurity winner Go For Joy (out of Lassie’s Joy by Bull’s Eye); and Isle Go (out of Sweet Darlene by Dell Reed), who won three futurities, including the 1964 Yakima Meadows Futurity.
Go Man Go sired Champions Duplicate Copy and Go Josie Go from this crop, and they introduce us to the Go Man Go cross
