Jess Icy claimed two Regular Registry Champion titles in the 2017 season. This speedy Paint has a race record of 8-3(2)-0- 5(1), a lifetime record of 13-4(2)-2-5(1), and
a speed index of 90. His earnings for the year totaled out to $36,374, which brought his lifetime earnings to $56,529. He is a 2014 sorrel tobiano gelding by Boknaai QH and out of Together Again, and was bred/owned by Sandra Garnett Tatom of Groesbeck, Texas.

For 2017, the filly had a speed index of 98, a record of 3-1-0-1(1), and earnings of $9,587. These stats brought her lifetime record to 10-6(2)-0- 2(2) and earnings to $137,505.

Texas Smash, a 2014 bay tobiano gelding by Texas Six and out of Smashed On Crown QH, had an outstanding 3-year-old year racing as
a colt. Owned by Cosme Quijada of Haskell, Oklahoma, and bred by Kay Churchwell of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, this Champion earned $6,483 and a record of 3-1-1-0 for the 2017 term. The Paint has an 84 speed index.

MHM Hotwire seized two 2017 Regular Registry Champion titles. A 2013 brown
tobiano stallion by Cartel Success QH and
out of Eliana Go Go, the stallion proved triumphant with a record of 3-2-0-0 and earnings of $18,667. This brings MHM Hotwire’s lifetime record and earnings to 18-3- 3-3(1) and $41,931. He was bred and is owned by Dan and Kaye Jones of Kemp, Texas.

Wind Power showed how to get better with age in style. The 2010 brown tobiano mare by Furyofthewind QH and out of Trick Question won $11,922 with her 2-1-1-0 racing record and speed index of 87. This year brought
her lifetime record and earnings to 11-5-2-0 and $45,459 respectively. She was bred by David Billins and Joe Williams of Mounds, Oklahoma, and is currently owned by Darling Farms of Lamont, Oklahoma.

Last but certainly not least of the Regular Registry Champions is Royal Snowman, a 2013 sorrel overo gelding by SM Country Snowman and out of Sheza Royal Secret. With an 86 speed index, Royal Snowman took home $11,118 in earnings from a record of 6-1-1-1 for the 2017 year. This brings Royal Snowman’s lifetime record and earnings to 25-4-5(1)-3 and $53,160. The gelding was bred and is owned by Todd Lacey of Wagoner, Oklahoma.

It looks like it was another successful year for Painted Turnpike. The 2013 bay solid
stallion by PYC Paint Your Wagon QH and out of High Class Turnpike grabbed three
2017 Solid Paint-Bred Registry Champion titles. Bred and owned by Nolan Pevehouse
of Webbers Falls, Oklahoma, the stallion produced a 2017 record of 5-5(4)-0-0, which brought $62,418 back home. Painted Turnpike now holds a 92 speed index, a lifetime record of 22-19(14)-3(2)-0(0), and increased his lifetime earnings to $377,912.

Bully Pulpit definitely made his owners, Dan and Kaye Jones of Kemp, Texas, proud this year. A 2015 sorrel solid gelding by CRM Livewire and out of Judys Apollo, he raced his heart out and secured $151,111 in earnings thanks to his 90 speed index and record of 10-5(2)-2-1(1). The gelding was bred by Chuck Bowlan of Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

Another winning Solid Paint-Bred was Expressions N Snow, a 2015 brown solid
mare by SM Country Snowman and out of Expressions In Stone QH. The mare secured her Champion title and $74,324 earnings by racing herself to a 6-4(2)-2-0 record. With a 93 speed index, we aren’t surprised. Expressions
N Snow was bred and is owned by Sharon Hafliger of Nickerson, Kansas.
