became one of the great sires in Quarter H o
When I think of Go Man Go, I rememb
story Glenn Fontenot of Ville Platte, Louisiana, told me about this great horse. The story goes this way. Claude Morien sold the dam of Go Man Go (Lightfoot Sis) to J.B. Ferguson, who bred the mare to Top Deck TB. Go Man Go was foaled in 1953 and Mr. Morien made a trip to see the colt.
When it came time to wean and castrate the colts, the roan Go Man Go was among the group. When Mr. Ferguson drove up to see how things were going, he saw the roan colt was on the ground with his leg tied up. He told the men to let him up and said, “Mr. Morien told me that roan colt is my racehorse and my sire.”
