 Dear Paint & Appaloosa Owners:
The 2012 Speedhorse Triple Crown is the first of its kind for two-year-old Paints & Appaloosas.
The first leg is the 350-yard $100,000 added Grade 1 Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity at Remington Park in Oklahoma City. Trials are May 12 and finals May 26. Payments began in October of 2011, but horses can still be entered by making all payments to date - October through March ($1,400) and a late payment of $1,000 for a total of $2,400 by March 1st. Late payments will be accepted through the May 1 payment. See payment schedule to enter late after March.
The second leg is the 350-yard $50,000 added Grade 1 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity at Fair Meadows in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Trials are July 21 and finals August 4. Payments began in December of 2011, but horses can still be entered by making all payments to date – December through March ($450) and a late payment of $150 for a total of $600 by March 1st. Late payments will be accepted through the June 1 payment. See payment schedule to enter late after March.
The third leg is the 400-yard $50,000 added Grade 1 Lone Star Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas. Trials are October 18 and finals November 2. Payments begin May 1. See payment schedule.
Horses must enter, be paid in full, race and win all three races to be named the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown Champion. The winner of the Triple Crown will receive ownership of a 4-Star Trailer and a one-year usage of a SportchassisTM Heavy Duty pickup.
Horses must enter, be paid in full in all three races, and run in at least two of the Triple Crown races to be eligible for the High-Point Champion. High-Point Champion points are accumulated according to the position each horse finishes in each race. The horse with the most points at the completion of the Triple Crown series will be High-Point Champion. The winner of the High-Point Champion will receive a cash bonus, to be announced.
Every horse who runs in the trials to the 2012 Triple Crown races will receive a one-month supply of Sta-Sound Joint Supplement, and the winner of the Triple Crown will receive a one-year supply.
There are no restrictions to these races, but Paint horses must have one regular registered Paint parent.
