  Flit by Leo, he was second in the Abe Lincoln Downs Memorial Day and was an AAA rated AQHA Champion. Justice Bars, who was out of Juleo by Leo, was second in the 1963 Oklahoma QH Exhibitor’s Association Futurity and he was an AQHA Champion; Connie Reba, who was out of Connie Leo by Leo, was second in the 1961 Kansas Futurity and an AQHA Champion; El Gringo, who was out of Sooner Lady by Leo, was second in the 1966 Lost Valley Downs Futurity; and Salright, who was out of Miss Mambo by Leo, was second in the Yakima Meadows Futurity. All these horses were bred by Bud Warren.
One of the most interesting things about crossing Leo with Three Bars
and Sugar Bars is that it was a good nick with an interesting blood affinity. The nick being the phenomenon when a stallion, and in this case a group of mares, produce outstanding foals. Many of these nicks have a blood affinity or
a common ancestor in their respective pedigrees. Leo gets the blood of the great Domino through his sire’s dam Nellene by Fleeting Time by High Time, who was inbred to Domino with a breeding pattern of 3x3x2 to Domino. Three
Bars has a breeding pattern of 5x5x5 to Domino, and Sugar Bars has a breeding pattern of 6x6x6x7x7 to Domino and a breeding pattern of 4x5 to Ultimus, the inbred Domino stallion by Commando by Domino and out of Running Stream by Domino. Domino being the horse that provides the common bond or blood

Bar Moore Miss was the winner of the 1967 Lubbock Downs Derby, and she was out of Miss Della Moore by Joe Moore, the full brother to Grano De Oro. Joe Moore was out of Della Moore, the dam of Joe Reed P-3. Vanna Bar was the winner
of three stakes including the Sunland Championship and she is the ninth stakes winner. She was out of a Thoroughbred mare Hy-Miss Vanna by Hygro. Vanna Bar, Figure 8 Bars and Connie Reb were all AQHA Champions.
The Sugar Bars/Leo stakes winners are reinforced by several stakes placed runners. They include Sugar Leo out of
  Band Play, giving her a tie to the Warren broodmare band without Leo. The other stakes winners out of Leo mares were
