BW DE ELEGANT

BW De Elegant was all class in the $28,500 Rocky Mountain Spring Classic Futurity held at Pocatello Downs in Idaho on May 20.
The two-year-old bay colt broke third from the
five-post and stayed near the front for the entirety of the race. He moved into second place at the first call and then took the lead in the stretch.
BW De Elegant finished strong in his first stakes competition and reached the wire on top with a head margin. The colt completed the 330-yard trip in :17.010. The clocking was good for a career high 95 speed index.
Betty and Boyd Weeks own BW De Elegant, who scored this stakes victory in just his second career out.
The colt deposited a $13,110 payday that improved his cumulative earnings to $13,235. BW De Elegant beat his second-place trial
performance in the Rocky Mountain Spring Classic Futurity finals. The colt made his racing debut in the May 6 trials as the second-fastest qualifier, finishing with a time of :17.251.
BW De Elegant now has a record of 1(1)-1-0 from just two starts.
Guy Weeks trains BW De Elegant, who had jockey Dallas Erickson in the irons for both of his official races.
Thomas Boyd and Betty Weeks bred BW De Elegant out of BW De Stuff. The lightly raced 2008 mare won one and placed third from five starts. Her victory came in a 350-yard maiden race at Rupert Downs. BW De Elegant is her first starter.
Bac On Track (Jesse James Jr-Bac N The Saddle) and Leonardo Gonzalez finished second for owner Denny Whitaker. Monty Arrossa trains the bay filly, who finished third in her trial and was the eighth fastest qualifier to the finals.
Fastest qualifier Silver Jet Dash (Bodacious Dash-Fancy Smoking Jet) finished third under Raymundo Torres for owner/trainer Fredy Olmos. The gray colt won his May 6 trial heat wire-to-wire by 1 3/4-lengths.

Candelaria was scratched by her trainer.

WAGONFULLOFDIVIDENDS

Top qualifier from the May 6 trials, three-year-old bay colt Wagonfullofdividends proved to be the fastest in the $18,500 Gary Blattner & Harold Pence Memorial Derby at Pocatello Downs on May 20.
Wagonfullofdividends and jockey Jesus Canales received the fifth call as they emerged from the two- post. The pair quickly established themselves as the leaders of the field.
Wagonfullofdividends took the lead and led
by 1/2-length at the first call, widening the gap to 3/4-length entering the stretch and pulling away to win by a 1-length. The colt completed the 350-yard trip in :17.425, posting a 108 speed index.
This marked the third win in stakes company
for the undefeated sophomore colt. He triumphed
in last year’s versions of the Rocky Mountain Spring Classic Futurity, going wire-to-wire in that event
for a 110 speed iindex, as well as in the Bitterroot Futurity, another wire-to-wire performance in which he destroyed the field and won by 3 1/2-lengths. In the Bitterroot Futurity, Wagonfullofdividends scored a 116 speed index, setting the 350-yard track record at Sandy Downs.
Wagonfullofdividends has kept his record intact with six wins from six starts.
Owned by RTM Stables LLC and Shauna Dunn, Wagonfullofdividends brought home an $8,510 pay- day from this stakes victory that improved his total earnings to $65,440.
Mark Hanson trains Wagonfullofdividends. Randy & Sandy Coleman bred the colt, who is the first starter out of 3-time winner Ms Athenas Dividend. The mare was 2nd in the 2010 Lone Star Distaff Challenge and a finalist in the 2009 Remington Park Futurity-G1 and Texas Classic Futurity-G1.
Hanson also trains the runner-up Candy Secret (No Secrets Here-Jess A Candy Gal), who is owned by RTM Stables LLC and Robin Dunn. Francisco Rubio did the riding.
Thought It Through (Foose-Just Think) finished third by a neck for owner Jorge Murillo and trainer Farrrol Cunningham. Raymundo Torres was aboard.
No House Rules Here (No Secrets Here- Goddess Artemis), Senor Call (Masters Call-Princess Duma), HR Captain Jack (Captain Courage- Excessive Chatter TB), She Looks Flashy (First Moonflash-Higher Math), Kingofdarkness (Tell Him Twice-Leeving U Cruisin) and Easy Blue Vodka (Triple Vodka-Sheza Blue Crush), who was DQ’d from 5th to 9th, completed the order of finish. Yourdarkestnitemare was scratched.

COUNTRY BOY 123

Fastest qualifier from the May 20 trials, Country Boy 123 was a prompt odds-on favorite in the $42,923 Picov Maturity at Ajax Downs on June 3.
Country Boy 123 and jockey Cory Spataro broke fifth from the 5-post and grabbed third at the first call. The pair really dug in to grab the lead in the stretch, crossing the wire a head in front.
Racing for Ruth F. Barbour and trained by Bryn Robertson, Country Boy 123 defeated 14-1 longshot One Famous Glass and completed the 300 yards in :15.280, posting a 105 speed index.
Country Boy 123 has won 13 of 21 races, and his six stakes victories include last year’s Picov Maturity. The $17,169 winner’s share of the purse pushed the gelding’s earnings to $201,265.
Carolyn C. Bay bred Country Boy 123 out of Very Dashin 123, winner of the 2008 Texas Distaff Challenge-G3 and a finalist in AQHA Distaff Challenge Championship-G1. She has produced 100% winners from four starters. Country Boy 123 is her first stakes winner and top money earner.
Country Boy 123’s second dam, Very Striking, won the ’94 GLQHA Stallion Service Sale Futurity-RG3 at Mt. Pleasant Meadows.
One Famous Glass (One Famous Eagle-Quick Glass) finished second under Tony Phillips for owners Carol Robertson, Jaime Robertson and Dr. Charles Hall and trainer Bryn Robertson.
Milena Kwiecien’s LS Prince (Louisiana Senator- Princess Sixarun) ran third under Ed Walton for trainer Jason Pascoe.
Fiesty Icon (Sugarman Perry-Fiesty Spirit), Countrys Comin Bac (Country Chicks Man-Bac To Center), Alakazaam (Mezoomn-Corona Deluxe), Hickerson (Country Chicks Man-Easily Holland), Albertt (Mr Jess Tex-Squincheyes) and Ms First Prize Pearl (Ivory James-First Prize Pearl) completed the order of finsh.
