1970 Josie’s Bar Handicap and 1971 Go Man Go Handicap. She became a broodmare for Ed Allred, where she produced six foals and five starters/ROM. Her leading earner is 3-time stakes winner Private Practice, winner of the 1982 California Breeders Championship.
Blondy Rockette is by Rocket Bar TB by Three Bars. Her dam is Fame Gold Bart, a AA rated race mare by 1951 Champion Stallion Bart B S by Dee Dee by Flying Bob. Dee Dee was the 1944-45 AQHA Racing Champion Stallion. No World Champion was named in the 1944-45 racing season, but Queenie the Champion mare that year, was also by Flying Bob. So, a special award was given to Flying Bob to recognize him as the sire of the two Champions.
Civic Center, the dam of Miss Mighty Mary, was bred by Ed Allred. This mare earned her ROM with an 87 speed index. She had one win in 14 starts, including a second and third with earnings of $1,833. Civic Center is the dam of 15 foals, 14 starters
and nine ROM with combined earnings of $447,742. She produced stakes winner Miss Mighty Mary and Miss Mighty Mo, who was second in both the 1982 Boise Futurity and 1982 Pacific Handicap.
Civic Center is by Midway Mayor TB, winner of the Duncan F. Kenner Stakes. Midway Mayor is by Roman Sandal by Roman by Teddy. Midway Mayor is out of Deepwood by Depth Charge.
Tiny Bid, the dam of Civic Center, won her only official start, earning $495. Tiny Bid had eight foals with five starters and five ROM earning $20,872. She had no stakes winners, but her leading money earner is Bidders, winner of $9,508.
Tiny Bid is by Tiny Charger by Depth Charge. This gives Civic Center a 3x3 breeding pattern to Depth Charge. This is
an example of inbreeding/linebreeding that we often see in the tail female line. We also see it in FDD Dynasty, the sire of Jessies
First Down. FDD Dynasty traces to his seventh dam in the tail female line, a mare named Grace by Oklahoma Star P-6 and
out of Cutthroat. Cutthroat is also the dam of Oklahoma Star P-6, which gives Grace a breeding pattern of 2x1 to Cutthroat. Mr Jess Perry gives us another example, as his fourth dam, Nikita, is by Chief McCue and out of Jessie Lady by Chief McCue. This is a 1x2 breeding pattern to Chief McCue.
Jessies First Down (below) has a dose of the First Down Dash/ Beduino TB nick.
4-time 2017 stakes winner and 2017 New Track Record setter Jessies First Down is bred and owned by Abrams, shown here with family, friends and winning connections.
