For Frey, Shez Jess Toxic earned $235,296 and became a graded stakes winner. Danjer is her first foal. Frey sold a yearling full sister named Shezgothelook for $70,000 at this year’s Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale through Robicheaux Ranch Inc.
Midnite Blu (First Moonflash-The Blues Girl), ridden by G.R. Carter Jr., finished second. Wesley Giles trains the gelding for owner Too For Two. Midnite Blu ran second in the Zia Futurity and third in the New Mexico Spring Futurity.
Jimmy Brooks rode Jess B Glory (Mr Jess Perry-Glory Rider) to third. The filly, owned by Homer Hill and trained by Eddie D. Willis, had broken her maiden, ran second twice, and ran third once in five previous starts.
Far Right (Apollitical Jess-Kansa Chick) finished fourth. Rustys Miracle (Valiant Hero-Rustys Lil Lady) finished fifth but was disqualified to ninth, moving Whole Lota Cheyenne (Lota PYC-Cheyennes Mountain) into fifth, CDS Wine N Dine (FDD Dynasty- Jess Adoration) into sixth, Dash Kam (PYC Paint Your Wagon-First Prize Fancy) into seventh, and Pappas Lookin (Pappasito-Sr
Jess Lookin) into eighth. Camila Special (The Louisiana Cartel-Six Time Special) was pulled up and vanned off. American Hussle and Eagles Fly Higher were scratched.
