Country Boy 123 took on eight opponents in the 300- yard Picov Maturity finals at Ajax
Downs on June 18.

of Hillsburgh, Ontario, Canada, Country Boy 123 broke on top from the inside gate and was a complete runaway, defeating the field by 1 1/4-lengths for a wire-to-wire victory in :15.100 while posting a lifetime- best 112 speed index. Cory Spataro rode for trainer Bryn Robertson.
Country Boy 123 has won eight of 14 starts, including the Picov Derby and Ajax Derby Challenge in 2016. He was also 4th in the 2016 AQHA Derby Challenge
Championship-G3. The $17,558 winner’s share of the Picov Maturity purse pushed his bankroll to $102,541.
Country Boy 123 was bred by Carolyn C. Bay and he is one of four winners from as many start-
ers out of Very Dashin 123, who won the 2008 AQHA Texas Distaff Challenge Stakes-G3 at Sam Houston Race Park. Country Boy 123’s second dam, Very Striking, won the 1994 GLQHA Stallion Service Sale Futurity-RG3 at Mount Pleasant Meadows.
Fast Man Vic (Mighty Invictus- Precious Debutante) finished second under Julian Serrano for owner
Full Circle Racing. Greg Watson prepped the 5-year-old gelding. One Famous Glass (One Famous Eagle- Quick Glass) finished a game third for owners Carol Robertson, Jaime Robertson, and Dr. Charles Hall. Tony Phillips rode the 7-year-old gelding for trainer Bryn Robertson.
