Runforyourlife (Favorite Cartel- Remember Me Rose) finished in second place with Eduardo Nicasio in the irons. The second-fastest qualifier, Runforyourlife had won two of four previous starts for trainer Christopher O’Dell. Rosenthal Ranch LLC owns Runforyourlife, a full sister to Powerful Favorite, who captured the Governors Cup Derby-RG3 on the
same card.
Carlos Huerta piloted Cattail Cove (Favorite Cartel-Katie Katella) to third. Juan Aleman trains the gelding for owner Link Newcomb. Cattail Cove won his Futurity trial after running second in a maiden event in his racing debut.
