The Alberta Quarter Horse Racing Association (AQHRA)
held their annual sale and stallion auction on Sept. 14 at the Olds Regional Exhibition Mega Dome in Olds, Alberta, with 5 horses selling. Gross revenue reached $33,000. The top seller, Hip #3, Jess Be First (First Timber-Ima Jess A Streaker, Streakin La Jolla), sold for $13,000.
The 2018 chestnut gelding was consigned by Wesley Oulton and purchased by Dwaine Ferguson and Ralph Wieber. Jess Be First is by multiple winner and All American Derby-G1 finalist First Timber, a million dollar sire and a leading
sire in Western Canada for several years. The gelding is out of winner Ima Jess A Streaker.
