Laico Bird then added the Los Alamitos Futurity to her already stellar record, giving her 17 starts at the age of two with 11 wins and five seconds. She was rewarded with the 1967 World Champion title to go with Champion Mare and the Champion Two-Year-Old Filly titles. She became the all-time leading money winner with $406,653 in earnings at two.
Laico Bird came back at three to win only one stakes race, the Buttons And Bows, but she did finish second in the Raton Derby and Sunland Park Fall Derby, and third in the Rainbow Derby and Ruidoso Championship Stakes. As a three year old, she earned $29,255 and retired with 34 starts, 17 wins, 12 seconds and 3 thirds, earning $435,653 in her lifetime.
