This is a Quarter Horse Racing program for Two Year Old foals of 2012 by Participating Stallions since the program was founded. New Stallions may be added as their ONE TIME – LIFETIME FEE is paid. Contact OQHRA for a list of eligible stallions. *Estimated Gross.
Every eligible horse may run at one or both distances. Timed trials will be run in each distance division.
The 10 fastest horses from the trials for each distance division will compete in finals for that distance division. The 15 fastest in each division trial will be eligible to run in the trials of the 2014 Championship NO SUPPLEMENTAL TIME OF ENTRY PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED
If a payment is missed, that payment must be doubled to remain eligible.

$25,000 will be added to the Championship from Horsemen’s Purse Account as well as $44,625 in Stallion Funds for 2014. An additional amount of $225,000 from the Oklahoma Tribal Purse fund will be added to nomination payments. There will be a 15% deduction from total nominations, late payments, and penalty payments for administrative and advertising expenses. 20% of the nomination payments, late payments and penalty payments will be carried to the purse for the 2013Championship. The balance remaining will be used to provide $150,000 of gross purse for each of the two qualifying divisions ($300,000 total) with the remainder added to the purse for the 2014 Championship. 5% will be deducted from each division purse and from the Championship purse and paid in Stallion Awards. Stallion awards will pay 10 places in division finals and Championship. The three division distances will be 350 yards, and 400 yards. The Championship will be 440 yards. All 2014Black Gold Races will be conducted between August and November 2014.

OQHRA reserves the right to promote the Black Gold Futurity in any manner deemed appropriate. OQHRA reserves the right to increase added money or otherwise amend these conditions, added money from Oklahoma tribal purse funds subject to availability and approval by OHRC. Awards and Trophies are provided by OQHRA . Credit card payments will be applied plus a 3.5% service charge by the credit card company.
