The Roundup Shindig
Oklahoma Horsemen Support Children’s Hospital

The second annual Roundup Shindig, which was founded by Oklahoma’s horse industry to care for Oklahoma’s children, was held Feb. 11 at the Riverwind Casino Showplace Theatre. Attended by nearly 400 Oklahomans, the event raised more than $130,000 to benefit the Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Led by event chair Vicki Tebow, the unique event included a live and silent auction, live music from the Terry Allen Band and Ty England Band, dancing, and a dinner with western flair. The exuberant bidding in the auc- tion resulted in a $7,000 gift for a 2012 embryo transfer donated by Royal Vista Southwest. The high bidders were Dee and Betty Raper. All of the money that was raised benefits Oklahoma children. The non-profit Children’s Hospital Foundation provides funding for pediatric research, education and clinical care for the Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center.
