Alamitos. Julie W produced five foals by Leo, and all five earned their ROM on the track. They were, in addition to Flit, Okie Twister, Juleo, Flutter and Mora Leota.
The outstanding performance of Leota W and Flit in the Oklahoma Futurity was
just the beginning of the dominance of Leo in this race. From 1947 to 1955, the Leo foals won eight of the nine runnings of what Warren called the first Futurity run for Quarter Horses. Garrettsmisspawhuska won it in 1948;
starters. The ROM earners out of Lena Horn by Leo include Leolena who was third in the 1951 Pawhuska Futurity
and Kansas Futurity. Her second stakes placed runner was Leanna Leo, who was third in the Juvenile Championship at Los
