    2023 Pot O’ Gold Futurity Update
Do you own a Paint or Appaloosa? Don’t miss your chance to win $30,000! The Pot O’ Gold Futurity is open to all Paints and Appaloosas with no stallion restrictions. Trials will be held on Sept. 18, leading up to the finals on Oct. 2 at Will Rogers Downs Racetrack in Claremore, Oklahoma. First payment is due no later than April 15.
APHA Regular Registry horses must have at least one APHA-registered Paint parent. APHA Solid Paint-Bred Registry horses must have two Regular Registry Paint parents or at least one Regular Registry Paint parent in the first and second generations.

APHA would like to announce their 2nd largest fundraising event, the APHA Silent Auction. This exciting event will be held at Remington Park on April 22 at 5:00 pm. Come support Paint Racing as they continue to raise funds to help increase purse money and grow Paint Racing.
Bart Promised Spots & Kristie Fleshman win the 2022 PBRIP year-end championship
Bart Promised Spots and owner Kristie Fleshman of Norman, Oklahoma, closed 2022 with the most total points earned in APHA’s Paint Barrel Racing Incentive Program. The team captured the 2022 PBRIP High-Point Champion title along with the reserve 2D championship.
For her high-point win, Kristie will receive a Gist Silversmiths trophy buckle at the annual PRBIP awards presentation on July 8 at Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

APHA barrel racing events (world champi- onships and PBRIP Sweepstakes) take place July 7-8, with an all-breed barrel race produced by Wild West Promotions on July 9.

The Cowgirl Gathering moves to May 2023
The fourth annual Cowgirl Gathering, hosted by Marked For Greatness Properties LLC, a for- profit subsidiary of the American Paint Horse Association, is moving to May 12–16, 2023, in conjunction with the Women’s Rodeo World Championship and the PBR World Finals in Fort Worth, Texas.
This weekend takeover of the historic Fort Worth Stockyards highlights cowgirls’ skills in breakaway roping, team roping and barrel racing, while also showcasing exhila- rating and engaging female speakers, artists and fashion icons.
