• The Leading $6 Million Sire, Azure Te, is the only Thoroughbred among this group.
• 11 of the $6 Million Sires were born in the 2000’s – Coronado Cartel(2011), Captain Courage (2005), Escondido Beach (2005), Rock Solid Jess (2005), Kiddy Up (2005), Volcom (2003), Desirio (2002), A Regal
Choice (2001), Spit Curl Jess (2001), Corona Caliente (2000) and Southern Cartel (2000). Jet Deck (1960) is the oldest.
• Three of the $6 Million Sires had a leading earner who made more than $1 Million - Volcom (JM Miracle, $1,507,962), Kiddy Up (J Fire Up, $1,468,361) and Captain Courage (Wicked Courage, $1,132,848).
• One sire earned his spot on the $6 Million Sire
list with less than 10 stakes winners: Major Rime with 8. Jet Deck topped this list with 67 stakes winners.
