 FDD DYNASTY
I asked Frey about his approach to putting the matings together for his breeding program, and he responded, “I research it very hard. My daughter always told me she got tired of me looking at the stud book every night. But I like to check crosses and I have certain horses that I like. I was a big FDD fan and when I was at Los Alamitos when he was running, he’d walk by the barn going to the racetrack and he was one that always caught my eye. He had an air to him. I haven’t bred to him every year, but I have supported him from the first year he went on the market to be bred to.”
