Coach Mikalah Hughes
Mikalah Hughes joins the Mustangs coaching staff as the junior varsity head coach. This will be her rst year as a head coach, but she played more than a decade at the high school, club and collegiate level.
Mikalah is a Colorado native,
graduating from Mountain Vista High
School in 2014 and then continuing
to play collegiate NCAA Division I
volleyball on an athletic scholarship.
She played at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and is a recent graduate with a degree in communications and is looking to get her master’s degree so she can pursue a career in sports administration.
Mikalah lives an active lifestyle, enjoying outdoor activities like hiking, as well as working out and playing volleyball. Her top coaching priorities are teaching players skills they can apply both on and off the volleyball court such as teamwork, responsibility, leadership, and communication skills.
