Neighbors from Castle Pines HOA 2 celebrate
the season
Article and photos by Carin R. Kirkegaard
For more than 10 years, neighbors in HOA2 have been gathering at the local clubhouse for a holiday celebration. The evening begins with Santa and Mrs. Claus telling C. Clement Moore’s, “Twas the Night Before Christmas” and then leading the children in a holiday carol sing-a-long. As dusk turns to dark, neighbors line-up for a horse drawn carriage ride to look at the Christmas light displays along Cerney and Brixham Circles.

Keeping with tradition, the Village Castle Pines Garden Club hosted its annual holiday brunch at Cherokee Ranch & Castle. The event was festive, each table adorned with a centerpiece made of red roses, pine cones and winter foliage. Club members hung donations on the “Garden Giving Tree” to bene t the Help & Hope of Douglas County. The Bibliophile’s Corner Discussing ALL THINGS books
While we have enjoyed bringing you a book review every month the past few years, we decided to mix things up a bit this year and try some new stories. Are you in a book club? We’d love to feature your club! Are you a local author working on your rst novel? Are you an Audible junkie? Know of any good book swaps? Do you have suggestions for topics you’d like to see discussed?
