A note from the publisher
By Terri Wiebold
January is about new beginnings, and as The Castle Pines Connection wraps its tenth year of delivering “a little good news” to our readers, we too are looking to the future.
In this issue and for 2020, you will nd many new and exciting changes in The Connection. We took a fresh look at some of regular columns and are reworking a few of them into something new and creative. You asked for more content in the Sports and Wellness section, so we are pro ling an adult athlete monthly – and there are many in this area who are giving back in big ways. Please let us know how we are doing and send in your suggestions for athletes to feature. You have given us great response to our Behind the Business segment, which we introduced last year. We look forward to continuing to give you a peek behind the curtain
of some of your favorite local businesses and the inspiration behind them. After much encouragement (pressure, really!), we kick o January with a look behind The Castle Pines Connection. It is out of my comfort zone for sure, but I guess I better practice what I preach and be open to sharing my journey with readers since that is what we ask of other businesses in the segment.
As a team made up of mostly independent contractors, we continually welcome new sta and their fresh energy. If you want to be more engaged in your community and work with a fun group of people in a exible schedule, I’d love to talk with you about joining our team. Currently, we have a speci c need for someone to work in advertising sales.
As a 100% advertising revenue-funded newspaper, we are abundantly grateful to our business partners. I encourage you to reach out to the businesses featured in this publication and personally thank them for their participation in your community newspaper. We exist because of them and we are grateful for their continued support and participation.
