Fred Hinton
Fredrick Hinton was Active Army for 21 years. He did 3 tours oversees, two in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. "My job while deployed was as a gun truck commander. We
encountered heavy resistance from the enemy everyday. My crew and I took on a lot of IED and small arms fire from the enemy almost daily," Fred explains. His back suffered as a result and he experiences pain daily. He enjoys playing with his 3 kids and doesn't let his injuries stand in the way of spending time with his wife and children. SOLD HELPS A
VETERAN & FAMILY
By Tina Grandmaiter
Hot Tubs for Heroes is a program that was created right here in Colorado by Spa Palace owner, Mike Wiege. It was later picked up by Sundance® Spas in conjunction with Wish for Our Heroes Rocky Mountain Chapter and the US Army Fort Carson AW2. WISH for OUR HEROES (W4OH) is a national 501(c)(3), dedicated to assisting the men and women of the United States active-duty military, and in some cases, Veterans. The Hot Tubs For Heroes program provides free hot tubs to selected wounded warriors who require hydrotherapy for healing. Hydrotherapy is a recommended method for relieving the effects of stress and promotes healing. Deployments to war zones have changed the life of service members and their families. Some changes are positive, yet combat and operational experiences can be traumatic and produce lasting emotional wounds.
Access to a hot tub for hydrotherapy can be very beneficial.
How Can You Help?
You can join our efforts when you purchase a
Sundance® Spa at any Spa Palace location. It is
counted towards the Spa Palace/Sundance® Spas
Hot Tubs For Heroes program. Then, once a
benchmark is reached, a wounded warrior who
lives in Colorado receives a free hot tub donated by Spa Palace and Sundance® Spas.
