DCSD’s interim superintendent shared insights as part of
the Chamber Speaker Series

On September 6, Douglas County interim superintendent Erin Kane shared her thoughts about the school district with approximately 25 residents at the Douglas County Libraries – Castle Pines.
Kane was part of the Castle Pines Chamber
of Commerce Speaker Series and discussed
the school district in general, as well as its funding challenges, how this impacts the Douglas County economy and solutions to these challenges.
“The Castle Pines Chamber is excited to bring a variety of speakers that are meant to engage the community in meaningful topics,” said Castle Pines Chamber membership director Amy Shanahan. “Douglas County School District’s (DCSD) interim superintendent
Erin Kane provided a wealth of information regarding the financial state of our school district. Her presentation was impactful for all who attended because the quality of our schools and staff directly impact the overall value of our community.”

Students and staff celebrate the Grand Opening of Kingsway Christian Academy, the newest private Christian school in Castle Rock. The school offers classes from Pre-school through 8th grade and has a current enrollment of nearly 100 students from throughout Douglas County, including Castle Pines.
