KIRKLAND’S (R etail, In S tore Visit)
Kirkland’s now has @ 428 Stores across the USA. A speciality retailer of home decor,
their seasonal focus in obvious and inviting. Although styles are broad, an obvious focus on Farmhouse. We visited an updated store model that was much more inspiring and fresh than other stores models visited.
• Light Colored Floors and updated fixtures really help bring the product to the front and center. End
cap product groupings and lifestyle vignettes romance the product and provide inspiration for
customer.
• Although assortment put together well in this store, in other stores it is hard for customer to marry
product together and find a solution.
• New categories are arriving such as tabletop, rugs, and bedding. Heavy gift presence but more
personal gifts (pajamas) and less home centered gifting (home fragrance).
• New product arrivals are more updated. Lacking true furniture presence and selection in store.
• Wall Decor display now customer friendly. No longer stacked on floor and enables customer to see
assortment better to make choices.
