Braden began his scouting adventure when he joined Cub Pack 812 in September 2014 and earned his Bobcat, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Ranks, the Arrow of Light Award, and the World Conservation Award. He crossed over to Troop 309 in January 2019 and earned his First Class Rank in November 2020. Braden has served his Troop as Quartermaster, Patrol Leader, and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader.
Braden is a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow and has earned 50 Merit Badges, the 50-Miler Afoot Award, the World Conservation Award, and the National Outdoor Award for Camping and Hiking. He has attended summer camp at Camps Shands, Buck Toms, and Philmont Scout Ranch.
For his Eagle Project, Braden improved the playground at Thunderbolt Elementary School. He installed a communication board to allow communication between non-verbal students and teachers. He built and stained two picnic tables and painted checker and tic-tac-toe games on top, repainted the wooden border of a sandbox, painted a small wall, and built borders for two garden beds.
Braden
is a junior at Fleming Island High School where he is a member of the Interact
Club, National Honor Society, Game and Dungeons and Dragons Clubs. He has earned the
Principal’s Scholar Award and an Academic Excellence Award in Entrepreneurship. After
graduation,
Braden
plans to pursue a degree in Biomechanical Engineering at a university in
Florida. His goal is to establish a career in the medical field, designing and building prosthetics.
