JACKSON WALLING December 9, 2024
Jackson began his scouting adventure when he joined Cub Pack 482 in September 2018 and earned his Bobcat and Webelos Ranks and the Arrow of Light Award. He crossed over to Troop 482 in February 2020 and earned his First Class Rank in November 2021. Jackson has served his Troop as Troop Guide, Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader.
Jackson has earned 36 Merit Badges, the Snorkeling BSA, Scuba BSA, and Mile Swim BSA, and the National Outdoor Award for Aquatics and Riding. He has attended summer camp at Camp Buck Toms, Skymont Scout Reservation, and Florida Keys Troop Camp.
For his Eagle Project, Jackson built a “Funyack” rack for the Camp Montgomery waterfront. It is a rack that holds their canoe and kayaks and protects them from the elements.
Jackson is a sophomore at Fleming Island High School where he’s a member of the Lacrosse Team and in his second year of a two-year Construction program. He also enjoys fishing and boating. After graduation, Jackson plans to attend Florida Keys College to pursue a degree in Marine Engine Mechanic and Welding. Eventually, he would like to start his own marine mechanics business.
