                FEATURES AND BENEFITS
COMPOSITE & WOOD SHUTTERS
• Composite Shutters are made from laminated wood veneer and wood composite materials co-extruded with a polypropylene coating for a quality product. Specialty Shapes may contain real wood, or solid core poly materials, finished to coordinate with Composite colors.
• Wood Shutters are made from 100% natural hardwood harvested from ethically governed forests.
• Stiles are rabbeted to control the light. An astragal can also be requested for additional light control where left and
right panels come together.
• A choice of louver tilt options to customize the look and operation of your shutters.
• Louver tension pins disperse tension throughout the panel to keep louvers in position.
• Designed to your precise specifications, and covered by our warranty, for shutters guaranteed to last a lifetime.
  rabbeted stile
Standard stiles are rabbeted to control the light bleed between the shutter panels.
On shutters with front tilt and upward only closure, a mouse hole will be placed in the top rail to allow space for the tilt bar when louvers are in the close position.
astragal stile
Astragal is a flange to cover the gap where two shutter panels meet. It helps to minimize the light passing between stiles and conceal uneven panel gaps due to out-of-square openings.
