Represents the eighth medal design issued between 1973 and 1979. It was the last of the sterling silver medals. This medal is the same as the third
medal design but with “B.S.A.” added to the front.
Represents the ninth medal design issued from 1980 to the present. It is made with malidium and uses a non-tarnishing rhodium finish. This medal does not cast as well as silver and the result is a less detailed die.
Represents the fourth cloth badge design issued from 1972 to 1974. This badge was not very popular and was replaced by the present design.
Represents the second cloth badge issued from World War II until the mid-1950s. It differs from the prior design in that it is khaki green material and not tan material.
Represents the fifth cloth badge design issued from 1975 to the present.
Represents the first cloth badge design issued from 1923 to 1932. It was on khaki green material and outlined by a silver rope border.
Represents the cloth badge design issued from the mid-1950s to 1971.
