Jacob began his scouting adventure when he joined Cub Pack 236 in March 2016 and earned his Bobcat and Webelos Ranks and the Arrow of Light Award. He crossed over to Troop 236 in January 2018 and earned his First Class Rank in April 2022. Jacob has served his Troop as Scribe, Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader.
Jacob is an Ordeal member of the Order of the Arrow and has earned 25 Merit Badges and a 20-Mile recognition. He has attended summer camp at Camps Raven Knob, Shenandoah, Grimes, Powhatan, Daniel Boone, and Rainey Mountain.
For his Eagle Project, Jacob built and installed benches and made improvements to the grounds at Children’s Reading Center Charter School.
Jacob is a senior at Palatka High School where he’s a member of the JROTC Raiders, serving as the Athletic Team Captain, and a Battalion Commander, Rank of Major, in JROTC. He is also a member of the Track Team and Cross Country Team, serving as Team Captain. He is also working to obtain certifications in the school’s Welding Program. After graduation, Jacob is considering several options, including attending college for Film and Media Production, attending a trade school for a Welding or Electrician program, or pursuing education and a career in Law Enforcement.
