                                                                                           ž The yolk sac can be measured during the first trimester and should be imaged and evaluated for irregular shape, echogenicity, and size.
ž The gestational sac consists of two cavities: the chorionic cavity and amniotic cavity.
ž The chorionic cavity lies between the amnion and chorion. It contains the yolk sac and fluid.
