EDITOR’S NOTE
Welcome, brothers, to this, our inaugural edition of the revived version of ARIETANS KOLEQSYEN. The original Arietans Koleqsyen, I’m reliably told, was a magazine first published in the early 1990s. Unfortunately, for some reason, I never got the opportunity to experience the joy of the original magazine so when I was asked to helm the revival of Arietans Koleqsyen I naturally jumped at the chance.
A group of us had a dream – to have a joyful commemoration of our beloved batch as we reach our golden age. No small feat but we were pretty sure that with your support something extraordinary could emerge - something that would define and celebrate the Arietans and our achievements. It was also hoped that having the magazine will further strengthen our camaraderie.
The theme of the publication is fun, fun, fun. This is YOUR magazine - you make it what it is. The words de jour include outrageous, informative and nostalgic. We want you to feel inspired and proud of how far we have come, both as a batch and individually. To that end, we hope that our brothers will contribute articles - the wackier, crazier and campier, the better. We want you to enjoy reading the magazine, again and again.
Suffice to say, this publication would not be a success without the valuable contribution of our beloved contributors - all l can say is thank you, thank you, thank you. This is really a labour of love for us. We rushed out the first edition of the magazine as we wanted to tease, excite and whet your appetite by giving you a taste of what could be. Hopefully, in future editions we will be able to feature more items contributed by Arietans.
