A MULTISYSTEMIC (MST) THERAPIST starts the day
with a visit to one of the six families on his caseload; while his caseload is small, he must visit each family several times a
week and help them find resources, as well. He receives ongoing training in the MST model of therapy as part of his job. Meanwhile, a school-based Exceptional Student Education (ESE) family counselor has a much larger caseload, and divides her time between two different schools. She works primarily with children with an identifiable ESE diagnosis, but involves parents as much as she can. She is allowed to use any and all models of individual and family therapy she prefers. >>
