After accruing years of practiced legal experience, Mr. Cedric Wakelee Vogel is semi-retired from his work as a lawyer, continuing to operate out of his private practice on a limited
basis. In law and life Mr. Vogel strove to honor the four I’s: Integrity, Industry, Intelligence, and Initiative. He found the law practice hard work but helping clients to solve their legal problems rewarding. From 1972 to 1997, Mr. Vogel excelled as a partner in the law firm, which became known
as Vogel, Heis and Wenstrup. In 1997, he became Of Counsel to the firm of Heis and Wenstrup and, also began solo practicing.
Throughout his career, Mr. Vogel has found success in general civil law, commercial law, landlord tenant law, and probate and estate administration law. Looking back, Mr. Vogel is most proud of staying the course and following in his father’s footsteps to become a lawyer.
Mr. Vogel initially pursued an
education at Yale College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1968. He later concluded his studies with
a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Harvard Law School in 1971. He was admitted to the practice of law in Ohio in 1972, Florida in 1973, the U.S. Tax Court in 1972, and the Supreme Court of the United States in 1975. During his time
at Harvard, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve Officers Training Corps. To remain current in his field, Mr. Vogel is affiliated with the Cincinnati Bar Association, The Florida Bar and The Lawyers Club of Cincinnati.
Civically, Mr. Vogel has always had a passion for the arts, his lineage, history, and for his community.
He contributes socially through numerous clubs and organizations. To name a few, they are the Ohio Society of Colonial Wars, the Cincinnati Museum Center, the Cincinnati Opera Guild, the Cincinnati Historical Society, Keep Cincinnati Beautiful, Inc.,
