Leading Aerospace Engineer
In preparation for his illustrious career, Mr. John Kraus decided to attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology and earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in 1941.
During his career, Mr. Kraus has been instrumental in improving the US military’s protective packaging
system and revamping the shipping department’s methods. He has held two patents belonging to TRW, Inc., as he contributed his expertise to the creation of the patented works. Mr.Kraus’ career-related pursuits include serving as
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Class of 1941 secretary since 2008, lecturer for the Northrop Institute of Technology and authoring a chapter
in the “Handbook of Reliability Engineering and Management.”
Outside of the workplace, Mr. Kraus remains a presence in his field, as he holds membership status with the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Club
of Southern California, and the Newport Beach Yacht Club. He has also held membership with the American Defense Preparedness Association, which is now known as the National Defense Industries Association.
