Hamilton: Journal Building at Court Street between Second and Third streets
Left: Floodwater rose to the top of the basement windows at the Hamilton Journal building at 228 Court Street during the ood. The original part of the building was built in 1886 and housed the Hamilton Journal and later the Hamilton JournalNews until 2011.
Right: Today, the original building and additions are being converted to a performance and educational arts center. It will house a ballet company, an arts education program in cooperation with the Fitton Center for the Creative Arts and Butler Tech, and Hamilton’s Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) program.
