hand for pictures. The video was awesome and the questions and answer session which followed was great and lasted much longer than we antici- pated because of the great participation from our members. If you missed it then you will not want to miss the rest of them. If you’re not a member, then you will want to join since all of these are members only events. To join the NBBQA simply go to NBBQA.org/members.
Each month the topics will alternate between cooking and business with some overlap where it applies. Coming up in
the following months, the topics will include in Marketing
to Gain More Customers; How to Cook the Perfect Steak; Moving Your Product From An Idea to the Store Shelves.
For the holidays, Prepare a Great Thanksgiving Turkey
with all the Sides. These are just a few listed to give you
an idea of what to expect for the coming months. How-
ever, ff you have a topic you’d like to see discussed which
falls under cooking skills or the business of BBQ, an expert will be found and we will have a Webinar Wednesday to
cover it. Our goal is to make sure our members are re- ceiving the biggest bang for their buck.
Who’s Presenting
One thing which sets apart our conference is the quality of speakers dis- cussing their level of expertise. We’ve seen Steven Raichlen, Larry Wignet, and many others come in as Keynote speakers. Breakout sessions have in- cluded Malcolm Reed, Ben Arnot and others to help you learn the business of BBQ.
Mark Lambert was the very first one and did a phenomenal job show us How to Cook the Perfect Catering Whole Hog. We know Mark as the NBBQA Immediate Past President, but he is also a 6-time World Champion, so we know he was the perfect expert to kick this off.
August will feature marketing guru, Chris Thomas, founder and CEO of the Yonder Marketing Agency. Chris teaches people around the country how to better market their business discussing everything from better social media to full-fledged marketing campaigns all designed to garner you more customers.
September will be all about cooking the perfect steak. Ken Phillips, is no stranger to the NBBQA as founder of the Steak
Cookoff Association. Ken has seen the good, the bad and the ugly of steak cooking but he will make sure you never
have another bad steak.
For the October session we want you to be ready for the upcoming holidays and have plenty of time to prepare.
So, you will have Shane Draper of Flavor Anonymous who will have us ready to make a great turkey feast for when the
family gets together complete with sides.
November will feature our first panel webinar dis- cussing how we can get our products out to the public. Experts will be Code 3 Spices (and NBBQA board mem-
 Mark Lambert
ber) Michael Radosevich and Old World Spices’ Amy Jungk who both know what it takes to move your product from an idea to the store. Both are coming from different yet complementary angles which will help you with your every question.
As you can see there will be a lot of information to glean during these We- binar Wednesdays. When the time comes you will want to make sure you are ready to register because you are not going to want to miss a single morsel of information. The goal of the NBBQA is to help you grow in this business of BBQ.
