President’s Letter
Greetings to all of you. As each day brings new challenges and adjustments to our lives, it is important for us to re- member our BBQ family and reach out via text or possibly a phone call to stay in touch. Several of our members have organized chats and zoom calls.
The business of CBBQA continues and we will have the privilege of selecting new officers for the board. We need bright, energetic, and creative people to lead us through the difficult times we are facing as it relates to our passion, BBQ. Please let me or any of the other BoD members know if you have ques- tions or would like to talk through the ins and outs of serving our organiza- tion.
I have the unfortunate task of informing you that the Golden State Battle III (GS- BIII) has been postponed due to an uptick in COVID-19 cases in Santa Bar- bara County. We have not given up hope on hosting the GSBIII, however, we as an organization must adhere to state and county mandates that have been is- sued regarding how many folks can gather in a group. Fortunately, Slab-O- Rama in Bullhead City, AZ is still sched- uled to take place January 16, 2021. If this contest happens, I will see you there as I am pretty excited, like I know many of you are, to cook.
By Steph Franklin CBBQA President
Speaking of contests, there are conver- sations happening now on how to begin a Steak Cook-Off Association (SCA) Team of the Year program. We hope to have more information on this topic within the next few months.
Shalauna and I are wishing you and yours a happy Thanksgiving. Until next month from the corner, cheers!
 Steph
