Dan Fagerlind- Board Member
I am from Dover, MN, married to Traci, and have three kids Katie, Travis, and Kyle. I am employed as a carpenter. I enjoy hunting, racing, cooking, and BBQ-ing. I am co-founder of Whitewater Drum Smokers located at our worldwide headquarters in St. Charles, MN. My interest in competitive BBQ started while watching BBQ Pitmasters. I decided this would be a fun thing to do. Luckily, Randy Ward was also interested in trying to do this and the rest is history. I have learned so much from competing and met some awesome people along the way. I decided to become involved as a board member of the MN BBQ Society to help grow the sport in Minnesota. I hope by getting involved this way we will be able to get more contests in Minnesota, but most of all get more people involved in competing grow- ing our BBQ community.
Randy Ward- Board Member
I am a resident of St. Charles, in southeastern MN. My career is in the commercial grain dryer industry, and I am also co-owner of Whitewater BBQ LLC. My start in BBQ was a mutual interest with friends. The board of director position was sought because I wanted to increase my contribution to the MN BBQ community.
Aaron Bourdage- Board Member
I started competition BBQ back in 2014 when a buddy of mine invited me to come out and cook a rib contest using my homemade sauce. We managed to win first place with box #19, and Lucky 19 was born! Starting with our sauce business, Lucky 19 Sauce Company (www.lucky19.com), expanded into backyard BBQ, then on to playing with the big dogs on the KCBS pro side. Sixty-seven competitions later, my fiance Missy Fisher and I keep ex- panding our BBQ universe. In addition to all that, in 2018, I was lucky enough to be elected to join the board of directors of the Minnesota BBQ Society. This year we were lucky to get the opportunity to buy Quetopia BBQ Supply from our friend Tony Korthaus, which we've now rebranded as Northern Fire Grilling & BBQ Supply (www.northernfirebbq.com) in Min- netonka, Minnesota. So yet another new BBQ adventure begins! It's funny where BBQ can take you!
We've made a pile of new friends, and continue to expand the BBQ family. If you are reading this, you already know — BBQ people are simply the best bunch of fun-loving lunatics out there!
