I did the ultimate mashed po- tato bar for my son Cadin's wedding. I have come to realize I could live off a mashed potato bar. Especially when there is brisket involved.

Here is my personal opinion on changing the turn in schedule at BBQ contests. We have spent so many years vending, helping new teams get hooked on our sport, cooking with judges to get their masters, cooking ancillaries, cooking extra food for friends, and cooking breakfast for all the teams that the turn in time change doesn't bother me personally. It makes you study hard. If it keeps
organizers happy and brings a little more interest from new teams by thinking it might help them catch one of the old pros, then I don't think its a bad thing.
My son Vonn is a golf cart pro and becoming a mighty fine BBQ chef. I am trying to talk him into a BBQ golf cart. I will post pictures when we finish.
The only downside to owning and using 40 different grills is keeping them clean. We should be able to claim grills like chil- dren on our taxes.
A thermapen could be a BBQer's best friend. I wear one in a holster, thanks to Brian Cole- man! If Brian Coleman ever runs for anything, I will be voting for
him. He has energy, brainpower, and he can speak for me any day. And his wife also has a great name.
