2022 PROPOSED OPTA BYLAW AMENDMENT - 8

The The Ohio Chapter of the the American Physical Therapy Association would like to to allow its membership to to vote on on the the issue of updating the the verbiage in in in the the bylaws to become more inclusive This would amend all appropriate sections of of the the Ohio State Chapter of of the the American Physical Therapy Association Inc Bylaws as follows:
He/him/his and/or she/her/hers will will be amended to include they/their/theirs For example Article IV Section 4 will will be be be amended to to read: The Delegate must be be be notified in in in writing at at least thirty (30) days prior to to the vote being taken so that he/she/they can have have an an an opportunity to to be heard and the the the Delegate shall have have the the the right to to appeal a a a a a a a a a a a a vote for removal to to the the the Board Board of of Directors at its next regular meeting the the the decision of of the the the Board Board shall be final Options:
• Yes - I approve the proposed amendment
• No – I do not approve the proposed amendment
