OFESF Update
$50,000 Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation Grant Awarded to the Ohio Fire and Emergency Services Foundation
The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation’s relationship with Ohio firefighters goes beyond working together in emergencies. The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation, the charitable arm of Dominion Energy Ohio’s parent company, Dominion Energy, Inc., has also contributed its dollars, having provided $700,000 in grants to the Ohio Fire and Emergency Services Foundation (OFESF) since 2006.
The Ohio Fire and Emergency Services Foundation would like to thank the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation for their generous, continued support of the OFESF and its mission to education and support the officers of Ohio’s fire and emergency services.
The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation, through OFESF programs, has had a significant impact on improving knowledge, skills, expertise, and professionalism of Ohio’s fire and emergency services officers by assisting us to offer educational seminars, leadership development training, and scholarship funds to our members.
Again, this year, the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation has awarded the Ohio Fire and Emergency Services Foundation with a $50,000 grant. Students attending Fire Officer I, II, and III; the Ohio Fire Executive Program; the Fire Chief’s Resource Symposium; and John Maxwell’s 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership Program will greatly benefit from Dominion’s generosity through scholarship
opportunity and tuition assistance. Through the grant, the Foundation
will also focus on the priority of developing and implementing innovative educational opportunities that advance Ohio’s fire service, such as the webinars that we host throughout the year. This allows for us to lay the foundation for officer success, which only makes our communities safer.
Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation is dedicated to improving the physical, social, and economic well-being of the communities served by Dominion companies, and the fire service thanks you for that.
