What has the strength to carry us, to push us into the future?
Despite the notion of distancing, look past your wave and you’ll see you aren’t alone. You aren’t the only one trying to create momentum. You are surrounded by surfboards. Each one of us jockeying for our own wave.
But, what if we weren’t each trying to one up one another. What if we created momentum together by sharing the wave? What if the next game changer is a Regional Approach toward the future?
Whether you want to gain momentum or keep momentum, consider the agencies surrounding you. Take an interest in their success, their training, their mission. After all, a high-performing organization is only as strong as the community and region it operates within.
A regional approach...interesting...
is this the next wave? Will this have enough momentum to shape the future? I don’t know...but it’s worth a try.
At the end of the shift, that moment of time when we have gathered our tools, hung up our bunker gear, prepared the next shift’s agenda, turned off our office light, and walked out into the world...I hope you are fortunate enough to work for a department
that values your dedication, your commitment to improve yourself and in turn your commitment to improve the organization itself.
