Here is but a small first step to make lemonade from those lemons.
The official transition for all officers of the Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association
and the Ohio Fire and Emergency Services Foundation will take place as scheduled in July. We hope to celebrate the installation of our new officers during conference, but I want to be among the first to congratulate Chief Rick Anderson to the office of President and Chief Colin Altman as Second Vice-President. While my time as your President has come to an end, I want you to know that I have been immensely honored to work alongside some of the most dedicated leaders in the fire service, and fine upstanding people who truly care for others. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to serve you.
The OFCA is the “premier, professional, and proactive” organization
it is as a direct result of its dedicated members and staff. I cannot thank everyone who have so willingly worked with me during a year of significant change- both planned and unexpected. We are blessed to have the leadership of Michelle Fitzgibbon, Chief Paul Wright, the Board of Directors, and the many Past-Presidents and retired Board Members who stepped up and helped guide the way. I sincerely appreciate the way everyone has come together
and worked to serve you. Our committee chairs have been instrumental in helping activate our members and expanding our service to others. Anne Beauch, Alexandra Denney, and Misha Lawson simply get the job done, no matter what we throw at them. I am forever grateful for their work, as they constantly impress me.
I can only offer a simple thank you to everyone whom I have interacted with along this exciting journey. I know that you are all in good hands going forward.
