has been an answer to my burden, I have passed 20 years with physical disability but this year of 2018, I met with physiotherapy
staff from UCC, I have regained my humanity, my visions, strength . And hope from now I can go to work with crutches, before I wasn’t able to go anywhere .”
Our international work has been selected for presentation by the World Confederation of Physical Therapy in Switzerland at the prestigious International Congress this May . I plan on returning to Rwanda to continue capacity building and further educating staff in 2020 . Our further plans for the UCC CBR program include establishing a physical therapy clinic, increasing the number of sites to where the CBR workers provide rehabilitative services, and creating sustainable funding .
