CE APPLICATION PORTAL NEWS

On March 1, 2017, OPTA implemented an online system for receiving and reviewing continuing education (CE) applications Paper applications using the old PDF form are no longer being accepted via mail, email, or fax
The new online application portal
not only saves paper, but streamlines the
application process for applicants and reviewers and allows users to check the status of their CE applications.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I took a course that does not have an Ohio-approval
number. What should I do?
A: First, you should check the list of Ohio-approved courses
to see if the course provider received an approval number for the course Go to the OPTA website at ohiopt org, Continuing Ed tab and click “Ohio Approved CE Courses.” The lists can be searched by using the Ctrl-F function and entering the course or sponsor name in the search box
If your course is not listed, you will need to apply for Individual CEU credit by following these easy steps
Step 1: Go to the CE Application portal link from ohiopt. org ► Continuing Ed tab ► CE Application Portal. NOTE: The CE application portal requires a username and password different from the OPTA website member login
Step 2: If you have not submitted an online individual application before, you will create an individual account If you already have an individual account, sign in with your username and password and Submit CEU Approval Application
Step 3: After your individual pro le has been created, you will be prompted to continue to the main menu where you’ll click the orange button “Submit CEU Approval Application”
Step 4: Follow the instructions on the screens and enter all the course information You can enter text or upload the required documents Then submit and pay fee
You can check the status of your application by signing in to your account
Q: My company is planning to offer a CE course and we want to provide CEUs for PT/PTAs in Ohio. On the CE application portal, do I need to create an individual or organization account?
A: To provide CEUs to those attending a course, you will create an Organization account and submit a Sponsor Application
